Intersection Of Waldeck St And Geneva Ave, Dorchester, Ma

I'd like to request an adjustment to the crosswalk signal for the crosswalk on Geneva Avenue that connects the corners of Waldeck St. and Charles St. This crosswalk is frequently used to get to the Fields Corner train station, but does not allot a reasonable amount of time to cross. Additionally, the lights to turn go on for cars coming from Charles St. and Waldeck St. every time the crosswalk sign is on for pedestrians, prompting people to just cross whenever because it's easier to avoid being hit by a car driving on Geneva Ave than a car making a turn right on the corner. I haven't timed it exactly, but it seems to me that the crosswalk sign will come on for about 2 seconds before starting a 10 second countdown, meanwhile cars are already turning from the adjacent streets and very few actually stop to allow the pedestrian to cross. Some will even slow down not to let me cross but to yell at me for trying to cross in the first place even though the crosswalk sign is on and indicates that it is still my time to cross. They will then drive off and leave me in the middle of the street anyway. Even if pedestrians are not granted any extra time to cross, it would be safer to use the crosswalk as intended if cars from adjacent streets are not able to turn during that time. I don't currently have the means to move out of my neighborhood, so I'd appreciate a solution to this problem before I end up in an accident despite following signs correctly.
