Pothole
2 Centre Pl, Roxbury, Ma, 02119Description Sorry to post this in potholes, but this was the closest category to what we need. We need public works. We have an issue. Whenever we have snow, public works comes and dumps massive amounts of salt on our private way, centre place. Last night we had a dusting of snow and public works dumped an inch of salt. The prior snow storm was about 1 inch of snow, maybe. Again we got an inch of salt. Because there is so much salt, it just remains on the street, gets crunched to dust by cars and gets blown onto everything, dust gets into lungs and into houses and gets tracked into the buildings as it is never dissolved by the miniscule amount of snow we get. It remains until a rain comes to wash it away. If it rains. The stuff is real toxic to environment, pets and it is a corrosive eating cars, kills plants it also deteriorates the road surface that the neighbors pay to maintain because it is a private way. So my neighbor put a case in today #6434664 explaining the situation and a request to have it removed. Case #6434668(just got deleted) Not sure what happened, but instead of removing, they came with a truck and dumped another inch of salt on top of what is already NOT needed! There is so much it will probably remain till spring. What we would like is for someone to come and remove the salt. DO NOT add more salt. Thank You, Mike Pina
