I’m writing yet again regarding the illegal dumping in front of 107 Devon Street. A dirty mattress was reported over five days ago (Request #101006150877), and while the case was marked closed with the note “scheduled for removal,” the mattress is still sitting there, as of today. This is not the first time this has happened at this exact property. It has become a recurring issue, and each time, the City is either delayed or completely unresponsive in its cleanup. One would hate to think that in an underrepresented neighborhood like mine, the delay in action is due to the residents of this neighborhood not being taken seriously. I am beyond frustrated and at this point, I feel I have no choice but to escalate this matter to my City Councilor and the Mayor’s Office.
