I am requesting an Inspectional Services inspection regarding an ongoing mouse infestation in my apartment at 68 Myrtle Street, Unit 7, Boston, MA. The mouse issue has been ongoing for more than three weeks. I have notified both the landlord and property management company, and exterminators have been to the apartment on multiple occasions; however, the problem has not been resolved. I have personally taken additional measures in an effort to prevent mice from entering the apartment, including placing steel wool in crevices and openings throughout the unit where mice may be able to gain access. I have also observed mice in the laundry area in the basement of the building. This raises concern that the rodent issue may extend beyond my individual apartment and that there may be building-wide conditions contributing to the infestation. I have been informed that Quality Services, the property management company, was expected to inspect the apartment, including pulling out the dishwasher to access the wall, identify and seal holes or cracks that could provide mouse access into the unit, and replace the existing traps. I was told this work would be completed by the end of the day on September 17, but the work was not completed as communicated. I have continued communicating with the landlord and property management company and have made repeated efforts to address the issue. I am requesting an Inspectional Services inspection to determine whether there are housing, maintenance, or structural conditions allowing rodents to enter and remain in the apartment and what corrective action is necessary. Given the continued sightings in both the apartment and the building's basement laundry area, this appears to be an ongoing infestation and not an isolated rodent sighting.

Street lights around the intersection of Darthmouth and Stuart Streets - 24 x7. Please resolve issues so they are closed during the day. This has been on going for at least 2+ months. The address is around the Back Bay station where you can see the lights on during the day.
