I am submitting a serious public safety concern regarding an incident that occurred at ICON Nightclub on the above date. A woman collapsed inside the nightclub and multiple patrons were actively yelling for help and attempting to get staff attention. Despite this, the DJ continued playing music for a significant period of time and the environment remained loud and crowded. According to witnesses, staff and/or ownership did not take immediate, effective action to stop music, clear space, or facilitate emergency response. The crowd density made it extremely difficult for paramedics to access the individual in a timely manner once emergency services arrived. When paramedics were finally able to reach her, she reportedly had no pulse and exhibited signs of severe medical distress. This incident raises serious concerns about: • Failure to respond appropriately to a medical emergency • Inadequate crowd control and emergency access • Possible violations of occupancy, safety, and emergency protocol requirements • Whether staff are properly trained to handle medical emergencies I am requesting that the appropriate city departments investigate ICON Nightclub’s emergency response procedures, crowd management practices, and compliance with safety regulations to prevent future harm. This report is being submitted in the interest of public safety and accountability.
