I am submitting another complaint regarding the extremely disruptive, high-pitched mechanical noise coming from the building at 80 Francis St, Boston, MA 02115. Despite my previous complaint, this issue has never been properly resolved. The persistent, high-frequency noise, which appears to originate from the building's ventilation, air filtration, or HVAC system, continues to cause a serious disturbance to nearby residents. The noise resembles the piercing whine of an aircraft engine. It is extremely penetrating, can be heard indoors, and significantly affects the quality of life of surrounding residents. This is not an occasional or minor inconvenience. It is an ongoing problem that should have been addressed long ago. I am extremely frustrated that this issue remains unresolved despite being reported previously. Simply acknowledging or temporarily addressing a complaint is not sufficient if the underlying problem continues. I strongly urge the responsible authorities to take this complaint seriously, conduct a thorough investigation, and require the building management to implement a permanent solution. This should include identifying the source of the noise, evaluating whether it violates applicable noise regulations, and requiring appropriate corrective measures. I also request a clear explanation of what actions have been taken in response to my previous complaint and why the problem has not been resolved. Nearby residents should not have to repeatedly file complaints about the same disturbance without seeing meaningful results. I expect concrete action rather than another complaint being closed without an effective resolution.
