Poor Conditions of Property
163 Devon St, Dorchester, Ma, 02121Subject: Urgent Safety Concern – Overloaded Third-Floor Porch (Risk of Collapse / Falling Debris) I would like to report a serious safety hazard at 163 Devon Street, Boston, MA (3rd floor, rear porch). The third-floor porch is heavily overloaded with furniture, miscellaneous items, and tarps. The amount of weight and clutter appears excessive for the structure and raises concern about a possible porch collapse. Additionally, during recent windy conditions, items from the porch were blown off and fell to the ground. Given the height, falling debris poses a significant risk of injury or death to anyone below. The porch still remains overloaded, and I am concerned that: • The structure may be compromised due to excess weight • Items may continue to fall during future wind • There is an ongoing public safety hazard I am requesting that an inspector assess this situation as soon as possible to prevent potential injury or structural failure. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
