Many trash bags and litter

There is recurring rat activity in the Clarendon/Appleton area, including past documented activity at 81 Appleton, 27 Appleton and the Appleton/Berkeley intersection. I am seeing rat activity around my property and the adjacent alley. Can you please conduct a coordinated inspection of the alley, tree pits, sidewalk/burrows, sewer catch basins and nearby trash storage rather than treating this as an isolated sighting. There has been a uprise in activity. In April we reported and the city services inspected and baited local sewers which lead to some visible improvements. We sited 6 rats on our walk home down Appleton at 8:30pm yesterday. One darted from our street level entry way. We do not store any trash in this area. Rat droppings on our walk way is a serious health concern. Thank you for your attention.

It looks like a driver hit a building at 178 Chestnut Ave. Drivers speed through here all the time. Would it be possible to add a stop sign at Spring Park and Chestnut, and/or a speed bump on chestnut going downhill, so that people coming down the hill aren’t blasting through the neighborhood? So many pedestrians here and it’s so dangerous. If someone lost control and hit a building, imagine what they’d do to a human being. We need to slow drivers down with physical infrastructure, not by asking them nicely.
