Unsatisfactory Living Conditions
5 Ayr Rd, Brighton, Ma, 02135Subject: Suspected unlicensed lodging house request for inspection. I am a current resident of 5 Ayr Road, Unit 1, Brighton, MA 02135. I respectfully request that Boston Inspectional Services investigate whether Unit 1 is being operated as an unlicensed lodging or rooming house. There are currently six unrelated individuals residing in Unit 1. Each resident has a separate lease with the landlord. My lease is for a specific bedroom, rather than for the apartment as a whole. I have also confirmed with the City of Boston that no lodging house license has been issued for this property. I respectfully request that Inspectional Services determine whether the unit is being operated in compliance with applicable Massachusetts law and City of Boston requirements. I am willing to cooperate with any inspection and can provide a copy of my lease if helpful. Thank you for your attention to this matter
