Can you please install the cast in place concrete barriers to protect the bike lane on Centre Street? Keeping the buffer as well as the lane clear is an important safety issue. Someone riding a bike was doored by a passenger outside of the Ale House. Until the recent increase in enforcement, the bike lane was constantly blocked either by cars in the lane itself or parked in the buffer with passenger doors left open into the lane which made the lane unsafe of unusable at least 50% of the time I tried to use it. Since enforcement is causing now strong large numbers of objections from the large number of people who are now getting ticketed because they constantly park illegally and cause this problem, it shows that illegal parking is a major issue and that the barriers are needed both yo correct the issue with illegal parking and also prevent the anger that comes with enforcement. It would help the people who accidentally park touching the line and feel that they are ticketed unfairly. Barriers have been long promised since the few flexposts we had were removed without notice. Please follow through with the barriers or at least put back flexposts until the barriers can be installed.
