512 Washington St, Boston, MA 02135A new LED streetlight was recently installed outside my apartment, and it is significantly brighter than the previous fixture. The light shines directly into my apartment throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep and affecting the livability of my home. I understand the importance of adequate street lighting for public safety, but this fixture appears to be improperly aimed or lacks shielding to prevent excessive light spill into nearby residences. I would appreciate it if the Street Lighting Division could inspect the light and determine whether it can be adjusted, dimmed, or fitted with shielding to direct the light toward the street rather than into adjacent homes.
