Damaged Sign
Intersection Of Columbia Rd And Dudley St And Stoughton St, Dorchester, MaGot it, good to know for next time. I have removed your phone number from the template. Here is the updated configuration for your 311 submission: ------------------------------ ## Boston 311 App Submission Text Request Type: Sign Repair / Missing Sign Location: Intersection of Columbia Road, Dudley Street, and Stoughton Street, Dorchester, MA Description: Urgent public safety request to replace a critical traffic control/warning sign that is completely missing from the middle median at the intersection of Columbia Road, Dudley Street, and Stoughton Street. The absence of this traffic sign on the center median creates immediate confusion for navigating vehicles and significantly elevates the risk of vehicular accidents and pedestrian safety hazards at this complex Uphams Corner intersection. Proactive infrastructure restoration is required immediately to ensure proper traffic control and neighborhood safety. 555 Columbia Rd, Boston, MA 02125Request Type: Police Services / Quality of Life Location: 555 Columbia Rd, Dorchester (Intersection of Hancock St & Stoughton St) I am submitting a formal commendation for BPD Officer Gonzalez and Officer Barrows (Shield 4979) for outstanding proactive traffic enforcement at the 555 Columbia Road pedestrian crosswalk. This crossing is notoriously dangerous, with an average of 1 to 3 motor vehicles running the signal every light cycle. These officers are actively protecting the public by executing targeted enforcement—intercepting and pulling over specific violating vehicles rather than standard traffic direction. Both officers consistently demonstrate sound judgment and professional discretion. Today, I witnessed Officer Barrows use immense discretion during a selective enforcement pursuit of a potentially reckless driver, handling the encounter safely due to complications inside the vehicle. Their consistent and reliable presence has drastically improved public safety and overall quality of life in Uphams Corner.
