1230-1264 Washington St, Boston, MA 02118June 26, 2026 – 2:46 a.m. I am reporting excessive late-night noise outside Alex Pizza, located at 1252 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02118. Loud music from vehicles and people gathered outside reached approximately 96 decibels, as measured on my phone (see attached photo of the decibel reading). The noise was loud enough to wake me up from sleep and could be clearly heard from inside my home with the windows closed. This appears to be a recurring violation of Boston’s noise ordinance and is creating an ongoing disturbance to the surrounding residential neighborhood during overnight hours. Earlier today, I submitted Report #101006709929 regarding multiple vehicles that were illegally parked outside this same location. At that time, a Boston police officer was present while numerous vehicles remained illegally parked, yet no apparent enforcement action was taken. The same pattern of late-night disturbances is continuing. I respectfully request increased late-night police oversight and enforcement of all applicable laws and ordinances, including Boston’s noise ordinance and any other state or local laws governing excessive noise, disorderly conduct, and disturbances of the peace. The repeated excessive noise is disrupting nearby residents’ ability to sleep and enjoy the quiet use of their homes, and the apparent lack of enforcement has allowed these disturbances to continue. Please investigate this recurring issue and take appropriate enforcement action to restore the peace and protect the quality of life of residents.
