- 311 NOTE: not a CEP issue..this is a department opeations issue Hi, I'm sorry but I think there has been a misunderstanding here. Here's the sequence of events: - I put our recycling and trash out on Friday, January 4. - On January 4, trash and recycling were picked up. However, there was a significant amount of recycling remaining on our sidewalk and next door. This is when I decided to contact 311 because it was disappointing to see so much littering the area. - That afternoon the remaining recycling was picked up -- the sidewalk and street looked great! I did not see the actual pick up but as I was walking to my car I saw an official Boston truck from I think Public Works drive by and about to pick up the trash. - When I returned to my house a few minutes later the trash AND the blue recycling bin were gone and have not been returned since. I am assuming that Public Works (or other department?) truck took the bin and has not returned it. Is it too late to find my bin? It's really frustrating to have to be without one and to have to go purchase a new one. Thank you, Shane Dunn I very much appreciate the people who pick up our trash but it's problematic when so much trash, including others', is left behind after pickup. Good thing there is no snow! Would love another pickup if possible.
