Case Noted | The watering of newly planted trees from the time they are planted until 2 years after they are planted is the responsibility of the contractor who planted the tree. The contractor is required to water new trees once every 2 weeks during the growing season. This means the watering bags will be empty for 12 days in between the contractor filling them. The Urban Forestry Division also relies heavily on the help of abutting property owners to keep newly planted trees watered. The dead tree is under warranty and will be replaced by the planting contractor in the next planting season.
