Description: I am a tenant reporting an ongoing rodent infestation in my rental unit that has persisted for several months. I have repeatedly notified my landlord, and the landlord has arranged multiple extermination attempts, but the rodent problem continues. There is ongoing evidence of rodent activity inside the apartment, including droppings/mice/noises/holes/damage. The continued infestation has affected our ability to normally use portions of the apartment, including the kitchen and living areas. Despite repeated pest-control treatments, the underlying issue has not been resolved. I am requesting an Inspectional Services housing inspection of my unit and the property to determine whether there are housing-code violations or structural/maintenance conditions allowing the rodents to enter and remain in the building, and to require appropriate corrective action.
