- Bring back the trash barrel at 269 Sumner St. There was a public trash barrel on the sidewalk for years. Someone made a decision to get rid of it weeks ago and now there is trash all over the sidewalks and streets. The explanation I received was that residents complained that the trash barrel was being abused by household trash and always overflowing. So when the trash barrel is overflowing, instead of using taxpayer money to get more trash barrels or arrange the city to come and empty it more often it was decided to take it away. The trash didn’t magically disappear. Now people just throw cans and bottles, poop bags and whatever else all over the street and sidewalk and it is disgusting. This street had a lot of foot traffic and the trash barrel was a vital neighborhood asset to keeping the neighborhood clean. Bring back the trash please.

Resolved. Completed by Task - constituents wanted the liter basket gone and the city removed it due to it being abused with household garbage all day.
