Description: Portable toilet associated with the Fenway Forward construction project at 27–29 Hancock Street was placed directly in front of the neighboring entrance at 25 Hancock on August 7. After I raised concerns onsite, it was moved approximately 7 feet toward 27 Hancock within several hours but remains at the 25-side end of the construction area, approximately 14 feet from a ground-level residential window and approximately 17 feet from the entrance. No advance notice of the toilet placement was provided to 25 Hancock before installation, despite having specifically raised the proposed 25-side placement in advance and asked that no toilet be installed there while alternatives were still under discussion. ISD Community Liaison Jesús García Mota asked me to submit a 311 case so City inspectors could determine whether they can assist. I am requesting inspection of the current physical condition and determination whether the placement presents any sanitation, safety, building, housing, adjoining-property or other ISD-enforced concern requiring corrective action. The planned dumpster and additional equipment have not yet arrived.
