Description: I am reporting a persistent and disruptive mechanical noise issue caused by an elevator at The Metropolitan Apartments. The elevator has been producing loud scraping, drilling, and thudding noises since August 6, 2026. The noise is clearly audible inside my bedroom and occurs randomly whenever the elevator is being used. I reported the issue to building management on August 11. On August 12, both the rental-side and condo-side managers came to my apartment and personally confirmed the noise. However, the noise has continued, and management has not provided a clear explanation of the cause or a timeline for resolving the issue. I followed up again on August 28, but the issue remains unresolved as of September 3. I am requesting that the appropriate city department inspect or investigate this issue and advise what action is needed to resolve the recurring elevator noise. I have audio recordings documenting the noise and can provide them if needed.
