- I am writing for the second time to request an investigation into an ongoing illegal dumping and sanitation issue affecting my property at 92 Putnam Street, East Boston, MA 02128. For an extended period, residents from neighboring properties have repeatedly placed household trash, mattresses, and other bulky discarded items in front of my property rather than using their designated trash collection areas. Based on my observations, much of this waste appears to originate from or be associated with the nearby properties at 200, 202, and 204 Lexington Street, Boston, MA 02128. I respectfully request that the Inspectional Services Department investigate this matter and determine the responsible parties. As a result, the entrance to my property is frequently blocked by garbage and illegally dumped items. These recurring conditions have created significant health, safety, and quality-of-life concerns, including: Unsanitary conditions and unpleasant odors. Increased attraction of rodents, insects, and other pests. Obstruction of access to the entrance of 92 Putnam Street. Interference with access to the sidewalk and driveway serving 90 Putnam Street. A negative impact on the appearance, cleanliness, and overall condition of the neighborhood. Concerns regarding the health and well-being of my family, including my young child, due to continued exposure to garbage, odors, and pests. This issue continues to occur despite the City's requirements that residents properly dispose of household waste and place trash only in designated collection areas. I respectfully request that the Inspectional Services Department: Investigate the recurring illegal dumping at and around 92 Putnam Street. Determine the responsible parties and take appropriate enforcement action. Arrange for the prompt removal of illegally dumped mattresses, trash, and other debris. Take appropriate measures to prevent these conditions from recurring. I have photographs documenting these recurring conditions and can provide them to assist with the investigation. I would also appreciate confirmation that this complaint has been received and information regarding any next steps or case number associated with this request. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I appreciate your assistance in addressing this ongoing issue and protecting the health, safety, accessibility, and cleanliness of our neighborhood.
