Description
URGENT 2ND REQUEST — MBTA Active Overnight Construction Noise — Back Bay Station, Clarendon Street Sidewalk It is approximately 1:30 a.m., and residents living next to Back Bay Station are being kept awake by the extremely loud operation of an emergency light tower located on the Clarendon Street sidewalk at the back side of the station. The construction foreman appears to have programmed the light tower to turn on at approximately 11:30 p.m. and remain operating for many hours. The foreman has passed by the equipment during the overnight hours and is aware of the excessive noise being generated. The noise is extremely disruptive to the neighboring residential buildings and appears to be well above the applicable nighttime noise limits.
