Description: This is an all-way stop with four stop signs and wide crosswalks at Francis St and Binney St, used by many hospital patients and visitors. On October 28, 2026, between about 10:40 am and noon, I watched it three times. In one count of about 6 minutes, roughly 16 of 23 vehicles did not stop at the stop signs; most stopped only when people were already crossing, at least two drove on while people were crossing, and a medical-area shuttle did not stop. The “All way” plates under the stop signs are worn, and a nearby “Do not block intersection” sign may encourage drivers to keep moving. City crash records list three pedestrian crashes at this junction (2020, 2023, 2023). Please review traffic control here (for example a signal, raised crosswalks or enforcement) and replace the worn plates.
