The City needs to hire extra staff for winter snow removal. We need to give up on asking residents to shovel the sidewalks for free. This shows a lack of care and management from the city.

Barclay Road is not being plowed to the end/sides of the street as of the start of plowing, this afternoon, Jan. 25. Barclay Road in West Roxbury is a dead end street that ends in a "T." The road is typically plowed all the way to the "T" end sides as it is a continuation of the street and the only way that any vehicle, including an emergency vehicle, can turn around and go back up the street. Cars also pull in to park on the 'T" ends See the photos below taken at 2:35 pm 1/25/2026 after a plow went down, did not plow to the ends of the "T", but backed-up to LaGrange to repeat on the other side of the road, but again not making the left or right turn to do any of the much needed "T" portion plowing. I live at 18 Barclay Road and have for 36 years. My neighbor at 19 Barclay predates me and we share a driveway at the end of the road. For the first few years, my neighbor and I had to run out to the plow truck driver to indicate that the road does continue and needs to be plowed. We have not had to do this for many years and I thought the issue was resolved and that the city knew the "'T" needs to be plowed for access of vehicles. I fear this is not the case now. If we get over a foot of snow, neither my neighbor nor I, who have our cars parked in our shared driveway will be able to back up to turn on to the T in order to exit up Barclay to LaGrange Street. I can try to run out and tell the next plow driver to plow the "T" but I cannot be sure I will catch them all. Please let them know. Thank you for your help.

Snow removal issue- We live on a dead end that is a public street. Often during the snowstorms snow plows push the snow DOWN into the dead end in FRONT of our vehicles. This causes two problems- 1. I have had a vehicle damaged by snow being plowed down the street and the city refused to pay for the cost to repair the cars. 2. With the packed snow plowed in front of my cars is almost impossible to remove. Please contact the offices were snow plows of are out of for this neighborhood and ask the drivers either to BACK IN and plow the snow OUT of the street or drive down with the PLOW UP, put the plow down and DRAG THE SNOW OUT of the street. This is an ongoing issue during snow storms!

Baseboard heating cold to the touch since around 7 pm 1/24. Landlord gave no indication of when the heating would be back on and provided a very small heater. Multiple units in the building are entirely without heat.

No salt on the entire street under a massive snow storm

Ask plows to alternate blades. We are downhill on Wayne Street and get buried by plows dumping snow in the entrance of our driveway.

Poor cleaning of the street Dietz Road in Hyde park.No parked cars obstructing the cleaning job trucks and they are doing a narrow passageway. .. mimicking winter of 2014.I hope City pay them for a satisfactory job

The street is not getting plowed at Wendover and Dudley!
