I am writing to bring attention to the deteriorating road conditions on Ruggles Street, specifically along the stretch from Huntington Avenue to Tremont Street — passing Wentworth Institute of Technology, Sweeney Field, and continuing toward Boston Police Headquarters. This segment of Ruggles Street has a significant number of potholes that pose a serious safety risk to cyclists. The condition of the road makes bicycle travel along this corridor particularly hazardous, and I am concerned that without timely repair, this could result in accidents or injuries. Given the density of students, residents, and commuters who use this route daily, I believe this stretch warrants prioritization in the city's road maintenance schedule.
