Unshoveled & untreated sidewalk all around Thomas Park plz cite or clear

I was parked on/near 284 River Road in Winthrop, MA 02152 from 2/22/2026 at 3 pm to 2/24/2026 2:30 pm, during the blizzard and the street parking bans. Due to the parking ban, I had to park much further away from my apartment than usual, so I did not go out to see my car and shovel it out until 2/24 at around 2 pm, during my work lunch break. The weather conditions were also not safe until around this time to go out to my car. When I got to my car I noticed a giant and deep dent and scratch on back end of the drivers side, from a plow truck, causing the door to not be able to open and damage around the gas tank opening. There was no note left or report made, I spoke with the police office and the dispatchers office on 2/24 at 2:45pm (dispatch), 5:30pm (dispatch) and 6pm (officer/in person) and I was advised by the to file a report online. I have also emailed the photos in to one of the officers at the Winthrop police department. There was another person a block behind me who also got struck by the plow. He advised that it had happened around 1:30pm on 2/24, but I was not there at this time, and had not been since 3 pm on 2/22. He advised that he had submitted a report as well. I was parked all the way up by the curb and was following all the winter storm parking ban rules.

Hit and run on South Charles Street, this van tried to parallel park, but the black car, then took off at 1:05pm. Images provided, video can be provided by Old Town Trolley upon request. Unsure of possible damages.

Hi My name is Katie and I live near E 6th street and N street in Southie. I am reaching out to you because today I was passing through the Seaport which is about a mile from where I live and I was absolutely shocked to find there is barely any snow to be seen here. Even the dirt amongst the planted trees doesn't have a speck of snow visible. In stark contrast, South Boston has been an absolute mess and still is. On Sunday, a whole week after the storm, I saw an elderly woman crossing E 5th and L street at a traffic light intersection and she had to be helped by 4 people and another person carrying her walker. There are hardly an clear pathways into sidewalks from the crosswalks at majority of the intersections. Also, many of the streets like E 1st and L street which are "snow emergency" and should be well cleared have so much snow that cars are either unable to park there or the parked cars are so far into the roads these major roadways are barely 2 lanes and often times single passing. This seems very dangerous and pointless for this "snow emergency". Last time I checked the Seaport and Southie are both in Boston. How is there such a drastic difference in the snow removal process between these two neighborhoods?? Can you please address this???? Thanks |
