Pest Infestation - Residential
Rats in Aldrich Street Neighborhood. I found a dead rat in my yard last fall and had a pest control company come to place traps down. Last Wednesday I saw another rat walking in my yard. Pest Control came yesterday and told me the bait stations are active. He feels the rats are present as the result of “troublesome Neighbors” so I went next door to let my we elderly neighbors know. They informed me that they have seen giant rats leaving 48 Colberg Ave, the house behind his property on Aldrich. There is a derelict pool and it looks like a junk yard. Today I saw another neighbor and he told me that this home has been problematic for years. Multiple complaints have been filed with the city? In 21 years I’ve never seen a rat. I am terrified that they will find a way into my home. Please address this issue and maybe put some bait stations in the area. Thank you.
CLOSED #101006150846Noted. Will be inspecting the area and addressing any issues found. My contact info is charles.mcardle@boston.gov.
