STOP CUTTING DOWN TREES ON KILSYTH ROAD OH MY GOD WHY ARE YOU DISRUPTING THE CANOPY ? I beg of you do not cut down any more trees ! they were not disrupting powerlines or sidewalks ! also replant them the city keeps cutting trees down MATURE trees on this street and makes zero effort to even replant new ones which are just gonna get scorched by heatwaves this summer anyway .
CLOSED #101005492585Noted. The Ash trees in question had a greater then 50% dead canopy and were heavily infested with Emerald Ash Borer which posed a significant risk to nearby Ash trees as well as the likelihood of the tree or its limbs breaking off into the roadway. The BPRD inspects every site where we remove a tree for replanting. If you have any questions please call 617-635-TREE (8733).

CLOSED #101005478002Case Noted. Thank you for your interest in increasing the canopy in the City of Boston. In order for the BPRD Urban Forestry Division to ensure the success of our new street trees we require that the property owner who directly abuts where the new tree is being requested to be planted be the one who makes the request for a new tree to be planted. Only requests made by the actual abutting property owner will be inspected for planting. Requests can be made via the 311 app, by calling 311 or by calling the Park Line at 617-635-7275. Thank you.
