In order for the BPRD Urban Forestry Division to ensure the success of our new street trees we require that the property owner who directly abuts where the new tree is being requested to be planted be the one who makes the request for a new tree to be planted. Only requests made by the actual abutting property owner will be inspected for planting. Requests can be made via the 311 app, by calling 311 or by calling the Park Line at 617-635-7275. Thank you.

Also, each individual property owner can request individual new trees be planted in front of their home by using the 311 app, by calling 311 or by calling the Park Line at 617-635-7275. Thank you.

65 Eldridge Rd, Jamaica Plain, Ma, 02130Hello, My arborist has informed me that this tree planted several years ago is now all but 20% dead. I called it in yesterday but am asking here that it be replaced with a ginkgo, Honeylocust or red maple please. Thanks!

If htye put in new tree, I heard from neighbor that I can request tree: Here is what looks good. In order of preference: 1.Yoshino Cherry 2.Japanese Flowering Cherry 3. Red Maple I think for the area, a nice flowering tree would be nice. I am not sure if you have these brands, but I was told by neighbor the yoshino cherry was nice.
