We have had a increase in hit and run type car accidents near 48 Lawrence Ave, in the past week we have had 2 accidents happen where one hit the street pole/light and then another that crashed onto the side walk into a parked car (all have 911 calls for record). As this is a residence area with a school (Martin Luther KIng School) up the street this is very scary and causing alot of worry. I dont know if there is a way to put a guard rail where the light pole is in front of 48 Lawrence Ave to help prevent people from hitting the pole and it falling. Or even some speed humps right before your turn onto Lawrence Ave from Nomandy Street. Many cars speed on that street and take very sharp turns on Lawrence Ave which cause accidents. Thank you.

Street pole was hit by a hit and run car accident, it is now leaning and the base is cracked. We are very concerned it may fall on our house or in the street and cause damage.

BTD truck and workers were removing a light in Charlestown today. The cable being used to lift the light pole did not look rated for the weight and looked frayed. The employee on the ground was beneath the pole lifted in the air without a hard hat and without steel toed shoes. Safety first!

These plastic poles are a waste of our tax payer dollars if they are just going to be run over. Please reach out to Fed-ex to have them pay a parking fine for being in an illegal spot and ruining our infrastructure. I would recommend the City use bike racks for Daylighting instead of the flex posts.
