Pest Infestation - Residential
27 Hancock St, BostonUrgent follow-up to 311 Case #101006746496. One week ago, I observed a live rat cross from the rear patio of the active construction site at 27 Hancock through a visible opening beneath the property-line barrier into the adjoining property. The original case was closed as “Resolved” on Thursday, although the closure note itself states: “I will reach out to the contact person to gain access to the back patio area.” I was never contacted, and the rear patio/access point therefore was not inspected. I immediately called 311, explained that I could provide direct access through my adjoining patio, and was told another visit would be requested for the following day and that I should expect a phone call. Neither occurred. The specific access point remains visibly open and unaddressed today, one full week after the rat sighting. Fenway Forward and J.L. Dunn were notified of the sighting and provided photographs identifying the exact opening. Construction and rear-façade work are ongoing. Fenway Forward has advised that it is awaiting the City inspection and will respond to any additional recommendations, making prompt City review especially important. Please arrange an urgent Environmental Sanitation/Rodent Control inspection of the rear of 27 Hancock and the identified access point. I can provide direct access through my shared egress and show the inspector the exact location.
