  • Broken Park Equipment

7 Bolster St, Boston, MA 02130

Families of JFK Elementary urgently ask for attention and leadership regarding the unsafe conditions at the JFK Elementary School playground. The current structure is over 25 years old, was never designed for the 3-and 4-year-olds now enrolled and has already caused accidents. Needles have been found in the woodchips where children play, the bridge is unstable with gaps dangerous for small children, and the playground in not accessible for our inclusion students. Families fear these conditions could jeopardize JFK's NAEYC accreditation. We urge the City of Boston and Boston Public Schools to prioritize a new, safe and accessible playground for our children before another child gets hurt.
