  • Pest Infestation - Residential

1 Longfellow Pl, Boston, Ma, 02114

Constituent reports a cockroach infestation that started in their building recently, following the start of major construction/renovation within their building. Constituent states that new construction had just recently started at the beginning of the month, 6/1 on the 2nd floor/mezzanine, where old office space is being turned into liveable units. Constituent states that starting last week, on Wednesydat 6/10, they had seen a container that had been put outside of their neighbors unit with a cockroach that the neighbor had trapped since maintenance had left for the day. The following day on 6/11, the constituent states they found a cockroach in their kitchen, and since maintenance was closed at 5pm, they reported it to be dealt with the following day. Maintenance had gone to their unit to look at the issue on Friday 6/12, but today 6/16, the constituent arrived home to find another one in their bathroom. Constituent states that issues with cockroaches or other pests hadn't been an issue before the construction started. Constituent spoke with management for the building at the front desk and learned that multiple other units are affected by the infestation. | Occupants name and contact info: [Same as Caller] Type of insect or rodent: [cockroaches]

New Murphy Field in Jamaica Plain was slated to house the baseball diamond and two soccer fields. Will lines be painted in the areas designated for soccer fields in time for fall soccer season (Sept 2026)? These will require periodic updating since it is a grass field. Thank you!

Tow company’s commercial vehicles have been occupying residential areas 24/7, blocking all EV charging stations. There are tow trucks, employee’s vehicles, moving trucks, pickup trucks, etc — apparently multiple businesses collude to occupy the area. On top of this, the towing company claims to own “1/3 of” the public street and has threatened to tow residents’ cars if people were to park “at their parking spots.” If the towing company does own public street, can the city council give more details on how they can do that? Residents live under constant pressure and terror and worry that they may face consequences if they don’t follow their orders. Hope the city council can investigate D&G Tow Company and companies around this business.
