I am requesting an Inspectional Services inspection for my bathroom due to unsafe housing conditions. The bathroom floor has been damaged for approximately two years, and there is moisture damage with mushroom/fungal growth. This appears to be a health and safety concern and may indicate ongoing water damage or mold/moisture issues. This issue was already noted in connection with my rental/payment agreement, and I contacted management again on August 15, 2026, and August 27, 2026. No proper inspection or repair has been completed. I am requesting that an inspector come out, document the condition, and require the landlord/property management to repair the bathroom floor and address the source of moisture. I have photos available and would like a case number for this report.

I am filing this report on behalf of my neighbor Joan Rutledge at 97 Byron St. There is construction going on next door from her in the lot at 93-95. Early in the project they surveyed the lot and a marker was placed where about a foot of the lot was her property. She’s informed me that there is supposed to be 3 feet in between both properties, which including her foot of property would make it 4 feet. She has spoken with the folks working the job and it is unclear to her that anything will be done. They are preparing for the foundation of the last portion that is closest to her property. It would be great if someone could check the plot plan against her property line and let her know what can be done. My name is Tania Castro-Daunais and I live at 96 Byron St, Apt 2.
