The boardwalk section of the Harborwalk on Long Wharf South (along the Boston Harbor City Cruises boat access points) is chipped and uneven, creating an unsafe surface for those with mobility challenges. Boston Harbor Now has raised this issue with Boston Planning, and was advised to submit a formal request by Katharine Lusk, as it relates to the improvements the city is making for the events this summer. We propose temporary mobility mats be used to create an even surface for the influx of visitors around Boston 250, understanding that replacing the wooden boardwalk needs to happen at a later point in the future.

This corner of A St and 3rd St used to have a STOP sign on it. But then there was a construction project on this lot, and separately, the City redid the sidewalks, and no one ever put the STOP sign back up. It’s still missing.
