  • Pruning Request

22 Elm St, Boston, MA 02122

Byrne playground trees are grossly overgrown on Elm Street. Cannot park cars on street without scratching the top of cars. Eversource did there part last year and cleared branches from electrical cables. No sign of any cleanup from the city. Has needed a tree crew for years.

The city has upcoming paving of the neighborhood alleys, which is great news and much appreciated. However, the no parking fliers left on cars are causing confusion, and the phone 311 operators have not been able to clarify. There is no public parking in the alleys, so it sounds like the city is trying to convey that people won’t be able to come and go from buildings’ private parking spots during the work. Could the city please clarify: 1. Can we park after the work is done for the day (at 3:30) if we're out by 7:00 a.m. the next day or only "between each phase"? If the latter, is there any sense of timing for the phases? 2. Have any arrangements been made with local garages to provide discounts similar to what has been done during snow emergencies? 3. Will there be any impact to our trash and recycling pick-up on 5/28, 6/1, and 6/4? 4. If we don’t need to come/go during the work, can we leave cars in buildings’ private parking areas? Or is there a reason we need to get cars out of private parking spots (other than the fact that the alley itself will be closed)

  • Broken Park Equipment

7 Bolster St, Boston, MA 02130

JFK elementary school playground has a bridge that was deemed by the city as not usable. The playground is over 25 years old before the school had 3 and 4 year old kids. It is not designed for young ages, is unsafe and has had many accidents already. There have also been cases were needles were found in the wood chips in the playground.
