Christopher Columbus Park (Atlantic Ave, North End/Waterfront) is being badly damaged by off-leash dogs. Since the end of summer, dog owners have been letting their dogs run loose across the main lawn every day. The damage is severe and getting worse. At least 60% of the grass has been worn down. You can clearly see the paths and loops where dogs run, and those areas are now brown, gray, and bare dirt. This is the same lawn that residents and visitors sit on all summer, and it's one of the most visible parks in the city. Right now it looks neglected and reflects poorly on Boston. Requesting the following: 1. Post clear "Dogs must be leashed" signs at every entrance to the lawn. 2. Increase enforcement of the leash ordinance by Park Rangers and/or police, especially mornings and evenings when off-leash activity peaks. 3. Assess and repair the lawn (reseeding or sod) before the damage becomes permanent. This needs prompt attention. Without signage and enforcement, the remaining grass will be lost.

Boston Public Works littering the street! BPW came to remove the tarp covering the scaffolding (presumably because the impending storm), but left all the plastic ties that were securing the tarp scattered on the street! Was it so difficult to clean up the trash that BPW workers created?! Nice way to set the example!

There is persistently loud drilling late into the night (2 am, 3:48 am) next to 255 St. Botolph Street. Even with ear plugs and a loud noise machine, I can still hear the grinding of metal, which is just an extremely unpleasant sound. I would rather the sound happen during the day, not while residents in the student dormitory are trying to sleep.

Improper trash. We have reported the same issues before. The store ( East Boston Market, 290 Meridian st, East Boston, MA 02128) is not cleaning the easement on their side. There are tons of trash, which is attracting roaches and rats. This is not sanitary and dangerous for their customer and the residents who lives near by. Please see the Photo.

Please see attached photo of conditions left in place of the single family home formerly on the site of 10 Gretter Rd. following its demolition the morning of 09/25/26. As the picture demonstrates, the owner/developer left the remains of a demolished house in an unprotected pile at the end of a week in which a major storm with high wind warnings have been predicted for days. As of 7:45pm, one forecast categorized the high wind warning as "severe" with "significant threat to life or property."
