Again, get rid of bike lane barrier. Looks like a shit entrance to the neighborhood. Always knocked down by fire trucks and delivery. More traffic consultant bullshit. We live here!!

e Bike and delivery scooters are out of control in Back Bay, and I assume elsewhere. Im a liberal but these bikes/motorized vehicles do not obey any traffic or safety laws. And they are almost without doubt 99% illegals from Brazil. I was just in the middle of a crosswalk on Dalton and Belvedere with an elderly lady and the scooter saw us and zoomed right between us. When I yelled he stopped, turned to look at me and smiled and flipped me off and challenged me to catch him. This is f'ing bs and its outrageous. Where are the police? Nowhere. They are never around and when they are they sit in their cars and do squat. Meanwhile these bikes, which travel up to 40mph drive on sidewalks and bike lanes and anywhere else they please. They run red lights and ignore any traffic laws. Enough is enough. If Mayor Wu wants to crack down on public safety issues this is a good first place to start.
CLOSED #101006291701Case Resolved. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand the importance of traffic safety and appreciate your efforts in keeping our streets safe. Ensuring Mopeds operate safely is an important issue. The City of Boston is undertaking cross-departmental efforts with BPD, BTD, the Mayor’s Policy team, Economic Opportunity and Inclusion, Immigrant Advancement and others to ensure we have a coordinated response. We have forwarded your report to our BTD Enforcement staff, who will investigate the issue and take appropriate action. Going forward, if you encounter any issues concerning mopeds in your area, please contact Bos311, where our team will investigate once the request is received. In case of any emergency, please notify the Boston Police Department. Please note that according to state law, mopeds are permitted to travel on bike lanes without registration. Also, mopeds can be parked on sidewalks, but they should be parked parallel to the walkway and should not obstruct pedestrian traffic. Thank you for your attention to this matter. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.
