Bike lane still full of snow. Whats the city’s policy on clearing roadways? If we have to shovel sidewalks in 3 hours , why are the bike lanes still full of snow days later?!

This doesn’t look right…why is there still snow in the bike lanes? Is that not a form of transportation? It snowed like 10 days ago…no excuse- all lanes of travel should be cleared for use! That means sidewalks and bike lanes!

Rather than clearing the bike lane of snow, city plows of obliterated all of bollards on N Beacon.

Hi, When the plows came through, they destroyed all of the bike lane dividers on Western Ave. We now have large, dangerous plastic shards all through the snowbanks. They are making their way into roadways and driveways as the banks melt.

This is the sidewalk in Sullivan square specifically between the two parts of Rutherford Ave passing over 99. The sidewalk is not clear at all (it never is it frequently ices over in other storms) I have twice FALLEN trying to get to or from my home and the station. FIX IT! And make a plan for future!! (Also that small clear line you see is NOT the sidewalk it’s bike way/road). Before the snow was somewhat beaten down I actually feel off the curb into the bike lane and road way.

Bike lanes in this season have such a positive economic impact. Gotta make sure those are properly maintained since they pay excise taxes. The vehicles can wait since they don’t pay excise taxes I guess

Commercial Street at Burroughs Wharf - crosswalk is unusable due to untouched snow covering the sidewalk and handicap ramps. It forces people to walk in the street on a major roadway. There is plenty of room in the immediate are to move this snow - please move it. Also, Commercial Street in this area is inadequately plowed, as it only allows for one lane of traffic each way, despite it being a two lane road outbound. Despite having no cars on this street for two days due to the snow emergency, the city decided not to plow the second lane of traffic? Furthermore, they have plenty of room to push the snow back from the second lane of traffic, as there is an adjacent bike lane that is untouched and unusable for bikes. So why not push the snow from the second lane of traffic back into the bike lane that cannot be used? I know it was a big snow storm, but the snow removal efforts in the North End has seemed below average at best.

The bike lanes on Massachusetts Avenue from Tremont to Melnea Cass are nicely plowed, but cars are parking unticketed throughout the lane instead of shoveling out spaces. This makes commuting by bike dangerous. The same is true for Dorchester avenue between Southampton/Preble street and park street. Thank you!
