My wife and some neighbors did a trash pick up on the wooded hillside between Calumet and Hillside Streets. This is a nice green area which allows those on Hillside and Calumet to see some green trees, birds and turkeys. Unfortunately, some renters see this only as a dumping ground - particularly the tenants who live at 198/200 Calumet. It is a party house for the student who party hard and often. All through the cold they had big blue tarps around the back of the house, complete with heat lamps, big sound system, and lights, which you can see in one of the photos. We were all young once and did our share of partying, but not to the detriment of the neighborhood. For the most part they shut it down around 11 PM, but the mess they leave is inexcusable. During the cleanup, my son went up while they were outside and politely asked them to pick up their trash which he pointed out. Their response "sure man, no problem" resulted in nothing but words... There are lots of parties up on Calumet which neighbors call about, but until landlords jump in and take some action, our complaints will continue. The police have come from time to time and have broken up the parties, but they continue.

This is the last time I will send in a complaint.My neighbor at 12 Rosewood Street Mattapan . They have taken over in front of the house and mine also .. I can't go to the grocery store and when a car comes to pick me up. I have to go in the middle of the street to get in. They take over in front of my house with bring other people cars to park there. But this is the last time I will report. I will have to go to higher decision. We are paying taxes for in front of our house and can't park in front or go to the grocery store and have somewhere to take out our grocery If the city can't help me. I better resolve the process myself.

Stop sign request on Searle Rd and Spareow St for right-of-way access to pedestrians and children crossing the road. My son was hit by a car on his bike in this intersection last year. Thankfully he is ok. There is construction happening to add better sidewalk access for pedestrians so it would be a perfect time to add a stop sign.

A long time ago the city dug into the ground outside my front door and displaced a number of our bricks. They replaced them with gravel filling which is an eyesore and dangerous for the disabled residents. We still have the bricks — please send someone as soon as possible to put them back in place.
