Description: The Academy of the Pacific Rim has been making great strides with its students. However, its location is inaccessible via public transportation and students in grades 7-12 are not given school transportation. In the first month of the school year at least 3 students were injured while attempting to cross Hyde Park Ave. Students are forced to walk in a scarely lit area from the school to Wolcott Station to catch a bus which is often late. Currently, there is only one bus that loops by the school (bus # 32, at 4:13 pm), however, given the school's dismissal time most students are unable to catch this shuttle. As a concerned parent/resident I request that the city either assit in providing school transportation for all students to and from the school or that the MBTA bus route be adjust to provide regular service to the school. |
