Description: Hello, My name is Kate Nguyen, a community organizer from Viet-AID, a non-profit organization located in Fields Corner, Dorchester. We are looking at the island at the intersection of Dorchester Ave and Park St to build a freedom monument there. We have already received the Browne Fund for the planning stage. We have met with the Department of Parks & Recreation and Boston Art Commission, who support our project proposal. The next step for us is to obtain a letter from the property owner of the site granting us permission to move forward with developing a proposal for the site. We were told that Public Works is the owner. Would you grant us the permission and provide us with that letter? Look forward to hearing from you.
