- I do not know if the pole is still there. The sign is on the right side of the road, going south, on the Jamaica Way, along the grass/knoll at Jamaica Pond, one block up from Pond Street. Thank you. | Public safety sign: [No] What kind of sign (description of sign): [Teh sign is a no left turn sign on the south side, right side of the Jamaica Way (upside down black L with a red line through it), which indicates no left turn from the Jamaica Way onto Burroughs Streeet in Jamaica Plain. This sign is down - again - and there was nearly an accident today by someone who backed up traffic and insisted on turning left onto Burroughs.
