Description: Constituent called reporting that she was parked at a meter and had 9 min left on her meter when she returned to her car but found that she had a parking ticket. She approached the meter maid nearby asking why she was ticketed and was then informed that this meter maid did not issue her a ticket. Upon further inspection, the meter maid and constituent concluded that it was not a valid ticket. It was NOT a parking ticket, but an advertisement for Spot Hero (spothero.com; 617-381-4535). The front of the ticket looked like the violation/return address to City of Boston Office of the Parking Clerk issued from the Boston Transit Police and says "violation" but on the back side it is an advertisement. Constituent and metermaid were especially upset because it could put the meter maids at risk- people do not take parking tickets lightly and this could cause issues with people thinking they were wrongfully ticketed when in actuality it is a business advertisement using the city info. | Case (SR) Type: [Code Enforcement] Referred To: [CODE ENFORCEMENT]
