- This tree is ABSOLUTELY NOT FINE! The bark is scarred and the leaves are yellowing and sparse. It has been watered plenty by both the rain and by us. Every other recently planted city tree on our block looks fine; ours looks sick. I am not an arborist but I know a sick tree when I see one. Also we had tree work done on our property and the arborist who did it agreed that it was sick. At this point I would love to chop it down, but it is not mine to chop. It wasn't even planted in a good location; the branches are growing into a telephone pole. This tree doesn't qualify as "dead"--just sick.
