- Description
- I submitted this before and it was closed because it said there was signage and there?s not. There is a sign telling bikes to yield to pedestrians. There are no signs telling cars to yield to pedestrians and bikes. I?ve been verbally assaulted here by cars turning not understanding that I have the right of way (a pedestrian go signal while they also have a green light). They assume because they have a green that they can fly through the intersection. There needs to be some sign or blinking yellow light so cars proceed with caution.

Case Noted. Thank you for your comments about your concerns regarding the use of concurrent walk sequencing at this location. Please be assured that the first priority of the Boston Transportation Department is working to provide safe streets for all users. Over half of BTD operated traffic signals utilize concurrent walk operation as it improves pedestrian compliance with walk signals. This type of walk signal operation is consistent with pedestrian signal operation throughout the country. We will evaluate this location to confirm that the operation is consistent with current BTD Engineering guidelines for use of this type of pedestrian signal sequence.
