- Description
- I’m reporting once again that there is significant rat activity behind the residential building 285 Columbus Ave. along the ramp leading to the back bay station lot and the stairs leading to the rear entrance of the 131 parking structure. The rats seem to have overrun the trash area behind back bay station and are now nesting between 285 Columbus and the adjacent building. Back bay station has tons of trash piled up in their “pen” area that is not in bins, just plastic bags, which seems to be part of the problem. But also a badly deteriorated door allows the rats to run in and out of the area. The ramp is covered with droppings most mornings and the rear entrance to 285 is essentially unusable after dark. Either the city or the train station operator really needs to mitigate this situation. I get that rats are a fact of city living but this situation has become beyond reasonable.
