- Hello! I am a 72 year old woman who volunteers at the Greater Boston Food Bank three afternoons a week. I commute via Orange and Red lines and then walk from Andrew. For several years the sidewalk on Topeka--the only sidewalk leading to GBFB off Southampton from Andrew--has been blocked by fence to prevent further "Mass & Cass" encampment. But the camps are gone. (An occasional shoot-up, but very little action in the area.) I would LOVE not to fear for my life walking down Topeka. 18 wheelers and speeding Sheriff's cars are everywhere on this street. It is NOT safe to walk in the road--especially after dark when I leave the Food Bank. Please, please give us back the sidewalk. I'm happy to send photos if you want them.
