Description
Damaged | Details: [My house fronts on Amory Street, between Atherton St. and W Walnut Park. The fire hydrant in front of my driveway (on Amory) was hit by a car. The hydrant was hurled into my fence damaging it. This has happened at least once before. The hydrant is lying on the sidewalk in pieces. The cars on Amory St. drive too fast. Can there be protective metal bollards placed around the fire hydrant to keep it in place if it were to be hit again. It's a safety hazard, if someone had been walking on the sidewalk when the car was speeding, they could have been hit by this fire hydrant. I have picture but don't see a way to include them on this email. Once the hydrant is replaced, can protective bollards be place on one side of the hydrant to keep it in place if it were ever hit again (only on 1 side).]
