- Still there…was not ticketed last night. At what point is a car considered abandoned? As of yesterday afternoon it had two recent tickets on the windshield and now fed-up neighbors are leaving their dirty poop bags on the hood. This is now week three that this Honda with NJ plates has been parked in the same resident spot in South Boston. It has received numerous citations (thank you) but owner apparently refuses to remove the vehicle. Is it cheaper to pay all those tickets than to register the car legally in Boston? And it’s taking up two spaces. Somebody recently applied a bumper sticker that states “I park like an idiot”. Car often remains parked there for weeks at a time Opposite 428 East 8th Street. How many citations are needed before a car is considered abandoned and finally towed?

Case Resolved | Thank you for contacting Boston 311. A citation has been issued. All we can do is ticket the vehicle. Resident permit parking is not a towable offense. There is a process that they go through before they deem the vehicle abandoned
