Description
A large city tree was uprooted and collapsed during Hurricane Irene in August 2011 across from 96 Dent St., West Roxbury. This is the street behind my home. My backyard abuts Dent St. and the tree hit my back fence (18 Barclay Rd.) and took down part of my neighbor's fence (19 Barclay Rd ). The city quickly removed the entire tree, but it took years for the stump to be removed, the hole patched, and black top filled in where the stump once was. That was finally done probably in 2016. Now, many years later, a kind of sink hole has appeared. A small part of where the stump was, the sidewalk has sunk. Anyone stepping out of a parked car could easily trip into it. Anyone walking close to the curb could also trip. See attached photos. I needs to be repaired.
