- The rodent activity has increased dramatically this spring. We are seeing them in broad daylight, run through our yard while we’re out there. We and our neighbors are doing everything we can to discourage them from coming around, but one of houses behind us seems to be contributing to the problem. The door to their basement is too small for the frame, and has at least a 6-inch gap under the door where rats can (obviously) get in and out of the house.
