- cc to PWD There is a rotting and dangerous steel sewer cover in front of #77 Bourne St., Jamaica Plain, that has been there for years. For 5 years. we have called and written to 311 and we have notified BWSC several times. For a while someone put out a dilapidated danger sign that blocked the sidewalk and makes people with baby carriages have to detour into the main thoroughfare of Bourne Street. Last year, in a different dangerous spot two doors down on our street, a neighbor fell and broke her elbow. We do not want to wait until another accident like this or worse happens! We understand that this may be a jurisdictional issue between BWS and DPW. PLEASE get with BWS to resolve this situation and give us the courtesy of a reply to this email. | BWSC has reported back for years that this sidewalk extension plate belongs to public works.
