- Charlestown walking over the locks. We walk to government center through the locks everyday. This is a path that many people take for sports events at the Garden too.Often they are closed and people have to turn around and walk back over to the charlestown bridge. This is frustrating and takes about 15 minutes. Case Resolved. Thank you for sending this over to DCR. The agency has created a Park Alerts Page on its website that people can use to see any closures of facilities within DCR's footprint.
