Description
Night four of disrupted sleep because of a “gas leak” which must be “repaired” by National Grid. Weirdly, this same “gas leak” must be “repaired” in the exact same place every 12-15 months. Likely because there is no competition, it is to National Grid’s benefit to make “quick fixes” instead of permanent repairs to this “gas leak”. So, everyone who could be sleeping isn’t. Why can’t this work be done during daytime and weekday work hours, say, 8 AM to 6 PM? This work is never in the way of traffic. The work only blocks the bike lane, parking spots, and sidewalk. Why can’t National Grid inform all businesses and residents in the vicinity in writing? Is there some kind of SMS notification system we could sign up for? Since this is a regular “repair” that recurs with frequency, it should be be easy to send out a notice two weeks in advance with the dates and times of work.

Resolved | Sorry for the inconvenience, the reasoning for the long work period is due to a grade 1 gas leak. With that being said the contractors must continue work until the issue is resolved, we do apologize for the inconvenience this may be causing you while the work continues.
