- The pedestrian detours for the Charlestown sidewalk repair project need immediate attention. The current state is completely unacceptable and downright dangerous. Pedestrians are forced to walk into the open road and cars FLY down main street esp at night. All across Eden st park. Botch work by whichever company the city hired.

Case Noted. I was out at this location this morning. There are sidewalk closed signs directing pedestrians across the street at the nearest crosswalks. Thus the Contractor is doing what is required of them. If people do not want to cross the street and prefer to walk in the street, there is nothing PWD or the Contractor can do.
